What are your favorite childhood photographs?
This is one of my favorite childhood photographs not only because of the memories behind the picture, but because it reminds me of the magic and spark of childhood, how wonderful to be swept up in a wave!
Dear Lindsey, thankyou for your post. I learnt alot. I was made to think of the good ol' childhood years when all i did was play. It was important to me and so i did it!
ReplyDeleteI still have a challenge expressing my negative feelings in words. when i was younger, i would pee on myself, as much as i hated it, it was the only way i knew how to let someone know i was angry. I dont do it anymore:) but iam still working on my communcation skills. Wonderful book, thankyou.
And then to that purple drawing. You know alot of times i wonder if being a mom is making a difference in my kids' lives. But day by day i realize what it would be like for these kids not to have their mommy. And then i appreciate my responsibility as a mother even more because i am making a difference. When you are passionate about what you do, even babies can feel it. I hope that we do not doubt the impact of our work as early childhood professionals, it is an extremly important job. And though not all of us will get a "purple drawing", yet we touch these young lives one child at a time.
My favorite childhood photograph is one where I am sitting on the sofa holding a stiffed animal. There is nothing special about the picture, but it just reminds me of a "simpler" time.
ReplyDeleteI really like your childhood photo. I agree, seeing pictures of us as children does remind us of the simplest of times. My own children love looking at pictures of themselves when they were "little" and they're only 4 & 5!
